Fun, funky, and oh-so-retro, the Mighty OJ Juicer not only makes squeezing limes, lemons, and small oranges a snap but claims a home in the Museum of Modern Art for its classic design. With durable all-metal construction, this particular model features a white baked-enamel body and a brightly polished chrome top and handle. Thanks to the rack-and-pinion gear system, up to 600 pounds of pressure are exerted on a citrus half during squeezing, so that every drop of juice is extracted from the fruit. No electricity is needed, and therefore there's no motor to burn out; the juicer is completely hand-operated. After use, the stainless-steel cone and funnel are easily removed and rinsed clean under running water. Weighing 4-1/2 pounds and standing 7-1/2 inches tall, the juicer takes up very little counter space and is covered by a lifetime warranty on moving parts. --Ann Bieri
